Principal's Report

Hey Logger Community!

The holiday season is upon us. Thanksgiving is here and in three short weeks it will be Christmas break. With that we close out the fall season of athletics. Cross country, soccer and football all rose to compete in state level competition and volleyball just missed out in districts. Congratulations to all of our athletes for their hard work and dedication to their team, sport and OHS. All four of our teams competed with honor and grace, showing good sportsmanship for all of the games. I am proud of all of our athletes.

TUTORING
If your child could benefit from tutoring, we have two resources for them. The first is Peer Books and it is held most Wednesdays immediately after school in the high school commons. Students are tutored by upperclassmen in core subjects and a snack is provided. Adult supervision is present, although students can leave when they are finished.

The second resource is called Varsity Tutors. This is being offered to students in grades 9-12. Students can gain access to the program through the company’s website at https://www.varsitytutors.com/login using their school email address. More information about this program is available on the school website and Facebook pages.

SENIORS
Senior parents: please remind your senior that February 3rd is the deadline for submitting their senior photo, baby photo and quote..The deadline to purchase a customized yearbook is January 31.

Some important upcoming events at OHS:

• December 4 - First home game for Girls Basketball
• While there are no home matches in December for wrestling, practices have started and our
athletes are working hard.
• December 20 - Early Release
• December 23-January 3 - Christmas Break, no school
