HIGH SCHOOL AND BEYOND PLAN – Due Now
Attention Students & Parents! High School & Beyond Plans are a graduation requirement and are to be reviewed and updated annually by students and parents. The High School & Beyond Plan (HSBP) is a multi-year process that supports students in exploring their interests, planning high school classes that are aligned to those interests, and tracking work and other relevant experience, graduation status, and achievements.

Students and Parents can access and update their plans by logging into their SchooLinks Account. Helpful steps are listed below:

Students:

  • Log in to your SchooLinks Account

  • Complete your High School And Beyond Plan

  • Submit your plan

Parents:

  • Once your student has submitted their HSBP, you will receive an email to approve it.

  • After updating and reviewing the HSBP, the parent will click APPROVE at the bottom.

  • This is a great opportunity to have conversations about future planning during AND after high school.

SENIORS PHOTOS DEADLINE EXTENDED!! – Due Feb 13
Seniors, the deadline to turn in your Senior Photos for the yearbook has been extended to February 13. If you have questions, please see Mr. Cole or a member of the yearbook staff. Email a high-resolution jpeg file to jcole@onysd.wednet.edu.

YEARBOOK ORDER UPDATE!
Unfortunately, we are still waiting on a new link to order yearbooks. Josten’s is working to fix the issue. As soon as they have a new link available, we will send it out. They will also give us an extended deadline that reflects.

COLLEGE & CAREER READINESS REVIEW – schedule now

Seniors, graduation is right around the corner. Have you scheduled your college and career readiness review with Ms. Baker yet? If you need info on colleges, trade schools or programs, scholarships, career paths, or even tips on keeping organized, she can help. Book your appointment with Ms. Baker today by clicking here or stopping by the Career Center. The Career Center is open for walk-in student use before and after school, and during lunch – no appointment needed.

BAYLOR NEWS & UPDATES – Deadline Feb. 15
We wanted to share a little birthday present with you! Baylor turns 181 on February 1, and we're celebrating by extending the Fall 2026 application deadline by two weeks, to February 15, giving your students a bit more time to apply. February 15 is also the final deadline for students to submit both their CSS Profile and FAFSA* to guarantee their consideration for institutional need-based aid. We’d love to see your student's applications today. It's completely FREE to apply!

WASHINGTON STATE FAIR FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS – Deadline Feb. 2
The Blue-Ribbon Scholarship Program is made possible through the generosity of the Foundation’s donors. Since the inception of the program in 1991, more than $2,000,000 in awards have been distributed and have provided a "fair chance" at a college education. As support of the program has grown, so have the opportunities for students. We are now pleased to offer scholarships to students statewide.

Students only need to submit one application for all our scholarships offered online. The application system will automatically apply students for the scholarships in which they qualify. HORATIO ALGER SCHOLARSHIPS – Application Now Open

The Horatio Alger Association supports deserving young people who are overcoming significant challenges and are committed to pursuing higher education. Our scholarships and services serve as a powerful symbol of recognition of Scholars’ character and of our belief in their potential.

While most other scholarships focus exclusively on academic achievement or leadership potential, Horatio Alger Scholarships are also intended for promising students who have critical financial need, demonstrate integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity, and are determined to succeed.

SENIOR APPLICATION – Deadline February 15, 2026

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be enrolled full time as a high school senior in the United States

  • Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at one of the target colleges/universities on our website (complete list can be found here: Senior Scholarships)

  • Demonstrate financial need ($100,000 or lower household income)

  • Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities

  • Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity

  • Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0

  • Be a United States citizen

JUNIOR APPLICATION – Deadline March 1, 2026
Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be enrolled full time as a high school junior in the United States

  • Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the United States

  • Demonstrate financial need ($100,000 or lower household income)

  • Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities

  • Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity

  • Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0

  • Be a United States citizen

WOMEN SUPPORTING WOMEN SCHOLARSHIP – Deadline Feb 15, 2026

Women Supporting Women Scholarship is a non-profit organization which supports Lewis County women in their pursuit of higher education by awarding tuition scholarships. Applicants must be a graduate of a high school in Lewis County or Rochester, WA., who are enrolled in any undergraduate level, freshman through senior at accredited colleges or universities, as well as online, technical and trade schools. Application packets are available in the OHS College and Career Center or can be requested online after November 1, 2025, at WSWScholarships@gmail.com. Completed applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than February 15, 2026.

ROBERT MORRIS MASONIC LODGE #97 OUTSTANDING STUDENT AWARD – Deadline Feb 28
The Robert Morris Masonic Lodge #97 has opened applications for their Outstanding Student Award. Scholarships are awarded to recipients in a school-wide competition. All awards are made based on scholastic achievement, community service, citizenship, financial need and evaluation of written responses. Application packets can be picked up in the OHS College and Career Center. Applications must be postmarked by February 28, 2026.

WASHINGTON STATE SCHOOL RETIREES’ ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIPS – March 1

The Washington State School Retirees' Association (WSSRA) invites senior students who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher to apply for the Robert J. Handy/WSSR Foundation/Gene Forrester Memorial Scholarships. These awards are given to students who plan a career in the field of education.

KELLY FOUNDATION EWING C. KELLY SCHOLARSHIP – Deadline March 7

The Kelly Foundation of Washington is offering $3250 awards for its scholarship program, the Ewing C. Kelly Scholarship.  This award is named in honor of Ewing C. Kelly, a longtime radio and television broadcaster.

The Ewing C. Kelly Scholarship is designed to reward students who demonstrate good citizenship while striving to attain their academic goals.  Applicants will be judged on their academic merit, extracurricular achievements--both scholastically and in their community--and financial need.

Applications:  Applications are available in the College & Career Center or online.  Applications must be postmarked by March 7, 2026. 

SMART CHOICES SCHOLARSHIP – Deadline March 7

Now accepting applications for the 2026 Gesa Credit Union and Dairy Farmers of Washington Smart Choices College Scholarship Program which will award two $5,000 scholarships and eight $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from WIAA member high schools for excellence in athletics/activities, academics, leadership and community service throughout their high school careers.

Applicants are required to fill out an online application that includes an essay question. Judging is based on the following criteria:

Athletic/Activity Excellence (30%)

Academic Achievement (30%)

Leadership (20%)

Citizenship/Community Service (10%)

Originality/Creativity of the Essay (5%)

Financial Need (5%)

SEA MAR SCHOLARSHIP – Deadline April 15

Sea Mar Farmworker High School & College Scholarships

Sea Mar recognizes and acknowledges the barriers children of farm working families face in their pursuit of a college degree. Economic strains, as well as the language and cultural barriers can often affect these students. Sometimes students need to work after-school and all summer to assist their family. Sea Mar is proud to provide annual scholarships to help make college a reality.

Award amount: $1,000.

Latino/a Educational Achievement Project Scholarship

The Sea Mar Latino/a Educational Achievement Project Scholarship provides financial support for students who demonstrate a history of advocacy, responsibility, accountability, perseverance, are go-getters, and have shown or have the strong potential to be contributors to their community.

Award amount: $2,500

Both scholarships are now open and will be closing on April 15, 2026.

SONOMA STATE UNIVERSITY – Deadline April 30
Did you know Sonoma State is accepting Fall 2026 applications through April 30 — the second-latest deadline in the CSU? This extended window gives your students more time and flexibility to make a confident decision about Fall 2026.

Students who apply by April 30 will automatically receive our SSU Commitment Scholarship, which provides:

  • A $500 first-year scholarship ($250 per semester)

  • Free textbooks for the first year (up to 15 units per term)

  • No separate scholarship application: full-time enrollment (12+ units) required

The Commitment Scholarship reflects SSU’s promise to help students discover their path — academically, personally, and professionally — in a community where they’re seen, centered, and set up for success, and where belonging isn’t a hope — it’s the experience.

2026 LEWIS COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY SCHOLARSHIP – Deadline May 1

We’re excited to extend an invitation to Lewis County High School Seniors who are enrolling in a

post-secondary educational and/or career training program.

• $500- $1000 will be awarded for educational expenses.

• Applications accepted between January 1 - May 1st, Recipients awarded by May 31.
