PERRY TECH PRESENTATION! Thursday, Jan 22 @ Lunch
Perry Technical Institute will be on campus Thursday, January 22, from 12:00-12:28pm, for a presentation in the College & Career Center. Perry Technical Institute is a private, non-profit educational institution which offers 14 specialized technical training programs. A representative will be presenting on the specific programs offered for students who wish to learn more about this route for post-secondary planning. Interested students can bring their lunch to the presentation.

WASHINGTON STATE FAIR FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS – Now Open
The Blue-Ribbon Scholarship Program is made possible through the generosity of the Foundation’s donors. Since the inception of the program in 1991, more than $2,000,000 in awards have been distributed and have provided a "fair chance" at a college education. As support of the program has grown, so have the opportunities for students. We are now pleased to offer scholarships to students statewide.
Students only need to submit one application for all our scholarships offered online. The application system will automatically apply students for the scholarships in which they qualify. WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY – Scholarship Deadline Jan 31
The WSU General Scholarship Application, due January 31, lets you apply for many scholarships systemwide at once, including more than 100 scholarships for WSU Vancouver students only. You might qualify for some of these funds based on your academic record and grades, financial need, group affiliation or a combination of the three. Click here for more information or to apply.
HORATIO ALGER SCHOLARSHIPS – Application Now Open
The Horatio Alger Association supports deserving young people who are overcoming significant challenges and are committed to pursuing higher education. Our scholarships and services serve as a powerful symbol of recognition of Scholars’ character and of our belief in their potential.
While most other scholarships focus exclusively on academic achievement or leadership potential, Horatio Alger Scholarships are also intended for promising students who have critical financial need, demonstrate integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity, and are determined to succeed.
SENIOR APPLICATION – Deadline February 15, 2026
Eligibility Requirements:
Be enrolled full time as a high school senior in the United States
Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at one of the target colleges/universities on our website (complete list can be found here: Senior Scholarships)
Demonstrate financial need ($100,000 or lower household income)
Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities
Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0
Be a United States citizen
JUNIOR APPLICATION – Deadline March 1, 2026
Eligibility Requirements:
Be enrolled full time as a high school junior in the United States
Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the United States
Demonstrate financial need ($100,000 or lower household income)
Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities
Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0
Be a United States citizen

WA STATE GOVERNORS’ SCHOLARSHIP FOR FOSTER YOUTH – Deadline Jan 30
The Washington State Governors’ Scholarship for Foster Youth is a scholarship program that helps young people from foster care continue their education and earn a college degree. The program is supported by The Honorable Gov. Jay Inslee (former governor), The Honorable Chris Gregoire (former governor), The Honorable Gary Locke (former governor), and other former governors in Washington state.
The application cycle for the Washington State Governors' Scholarship for Foster Youth for the 2026-2027 academic year opens on December 1, 2025, and closes on January 30, 2026. The program is administered by the College Success Foundation (CSF).

WOMEN SUPPORTING WOMEN SCHOLARSHIP – Deadline Feb 15, 2026
Women Supporting Women Scholarship is a non-profit organization which supports Lewis County women in their pursuit of higher education by awarding tuition scholarships. Applicants must be a graduate of a high school in Lewis County or Rochester, WA., who are enrolled in any undergraduate level, freshman through senior at accredited colleges or universities, as well as online, technical and trade schools. Application packets are available in the OHS College and Career Center or can be requested online after November 1, 2025, at WSWScholarships@gmail.com. Completed applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than February 15, 2026.
ROBERT MORRIS MASONIC LODGE #97 OUTSTANDING STUDENT AWARD – Deadline Feb 28
The Robert Morris Masonic Lodge #97 has opened applications for their Outstanding Student Award. Scholarships are awarded to recipients in a school-wide competition. All awards are made on the basis of scholastic achievement, community service, citizenship, financial need and evaluation of written responses. Application packets can be picked up in the OHS College and Career Center. Applications must be postmarked by February 28, 2026.
WASHINGTON STATE SCHOOL RETIREES’ ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIPS – Now Open
The Washington State School Retirees' Association (WSSRA) invites senior students who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher to apply for the Robert J. Handy/WSSR Foundation/Gene Forrester Memorial Scholarships. These awards are given to students who plan a career in the field of education.

KELLY FOUNDATION EWING C. KELLY SCHOLARSHIP – Deadline March 7, 2026
The Kelly Foundation of Washington is offering $3250 awards for its scholarship program, the Ewing C. Kelly Scholarship. This award is named in honor of Ewing C. Kelly, a longtime radio and television broadcaster.
The Ewing C. Kelly Scholarship is designed to reward students who demonstrate good citizenship while striving to attain their academic goals. Applicants will be judged on their academic merit, extracurricular achievements--both scholastically and in their community--and financial need.
Applications: Applications are available in the College & Career Center or online. Applications must be postmarked by March 7, 2026.
SMART CHOICES SCHOLARSHIP – Deadline March 7, 2026
Now accepting applications for the 2026 Gesa Credit Union and Dairy Farmers of Washington Smart Choices College Scholarship Program which will award two $5,000 scholarships and eight $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from WIAA member high schools for excellence in athletics/activities, academics, leadership and community service throughout their high school careers.
Applicants are required to fill out an online application that includes an essay question. Judging is based on the following criteria:
Athletic/Activity Excellence (30%)
Academic Achievement (30%)
Leadership (20%)
Citizenship/Community Service (10%)
Originality/Creativity of the Essay (5%)
Financial Need (5%)

SONOMA STATE UNIVERSITY – Deadline April 30, 2026
Did you know Sonoma State is accepting Fall 2026 applications through April 30 — the second-latest deadline in the CSU? This extended window gives your students more time and flexibility to make a confident decision about Fall 2026.
Students who apply by April 30 will automatically receive our SSU Commitment Scholarship, which provides:
A $500 first-year scholarship ($250 per semester)
Free textbooks for the first year (up to 15 units per term)
No separate scholarship application: full-time enrollment (12+ units) required

BOEING PAID SUMMER MANUFACTURING PROGRAM – Deadline Jan 20, 2026
Build real-world manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience in a paid, on-site, hands-on Student Development Program! All programs include tailored training, factory tours, resume and interview skills workshops and networking with Boeing employees. All programs require participants to have foundational understanding in the use of tools, being safe in a manufacturing environment, and an interest in manufacturing careers.
Only shortlisted applicants will be invited for a virtual panel interview to take place in late February or early March. Offers to selected applicants will be made in early April. Participants are employed by a third-party staffing company.
Available programs:
High School Manufacturing Assembly Program (Core Plus Aerospace) - must be age 16+ graduating in either 2026 or 2027
Functional Test / Aircraft Test - Age 18+ Aircraft Maintenance / Aviation Students
Toolmaker - age 18+ High School Seniors or College Students
