Greetings Logger Families!
April is over and we are moving into May! We have fewer than 30 days left of school and the excitement for summer break is rising. Here are some upcoming events to have on your calendar:
State testing: Please encourage your child to do their best on their tests. The data gathered from the results helps us formulate appropriate classes and curriculum for our students and help prepare them for life after high school.
Standardized state testing for 11th graders starts on May 8.
State testing for 10th graders will begin May 12.
Freshman do not take state testing.
May 27 is the OHS Senior Awards Night. This evening is to celebrate all of our Seniors that have earned awards, scholarships, college entrances, and much more. We hope to see you there to celebrate these fine young men and women.
June 4 is a concert in the OHS Gym at 6:30 pm.
June 6 is graduation at 7:00 pm in the high school gym.
June 16 is the last day for students and is an early release.
Prom was held on April 19 in the Grand Ballroom in Chehalis. It was a huge success. I would like to thank all of the volunteers that chaperoned the dance to help in keeping our students safe and also the Onalaska Combined PTO for helping in so many ways. We really appreciate all you do for us!
May 5-9 is Teacher Appreciation Week. If there is a teacher(s) that has made a positive impact on your life or your child’s life, let them know. The Onalaska School District is very fortunate to have the quality teachers that we do.
Enjoy the fine spring weather.
